Anyone may send a message to the Thyroid discussion mailing list, and all messages will be distributed if

1. the message is about thyroid conditions,
2. the message is from the consumer perspective, and
3. the message does not seem to violate the "commercial posting" rule of the Thyroid list.

If you are not yet subscribed to the Thyroid mailing list, then you will not be able to receive e-mail replies to your message. The Thyroid mailing list discourages messages which require special addressing of replies, mainly because folks sometimes don't remember to do it.
